1. Purpose

These general terms govern the vehicle rental services offered by Louizi Car Rentals (hereinafter 'the Lessor'), a business based in Essaouira, Morocco. Any booking implies full and complete acceptance of these terms.

2. Booking

Bookings are made via the online form on louizicarentals.com or by direct contact (phone, WhatsApp, email). A booking is only final upon written confirmation by Louizi Car Rentals (confirmation email). Prices displayed on the website are indicative and may vary by season, rental duration, and vehicle availability. The final price is the one communicated upon booking confirmation.

3. Renter Requirements

Be at least 21 years old
Hold a valid driving licence for at least 2 years
Present a valid passport or ID card
For non-Moroccan licences: your national driving licence is accepted (no international licence needed for stays < 1 year)

4. Vehicle Delivery and Return

The vehicle is delivered at the agreed location and time (airport, hotel, riad, or other meeting point in and around Essaouira). A contradictory inspection report is completed at pickup and return. The vehicle is provided with a set fuel level and must be returned with the same level. Any unreported late return may result in an additional day's charge.

5. Insurance and Liability

All our vehicles are covered by mandatory third-party liability insurance. Comprehensive insurance with an excess is included in our rates. The excess amount varies by vehicle category and will be communicated before pickup. The renter remains responsible for paying the excess in case of an at-fault claim. Insurance coverage does not apply in case of:

Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Driving by an unauthorised person not listed on the contract
Violation of Moroccan traffic regulations
Use of the vehicle outside Moroccan territory

6. Renter's Obligations

Use the vehicle responsibly and in accordance with its intended purpose
Not sub-let the vehicle
Not use the vehicle for racing, competitions, or illegal activities
Immediately report any incident, breakdown, or accident to the Lessor
No smoking in the vehicle
Return the vehicle in the same state of cleanliness

7. Mileage

Unless otherwise stated, all our rates include unlimited mileage.

8. Cancellation

Cancellation is free if made at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup date. In case of late cancellation (less than 48h) or no-show, no fees are charged. However, we kindly ask you to notify us as soon as possible.

9. Payment

Payment is made upon vehicle pickup. Accepted payment methods: cash (MAD or EUR), bank transfer. No online payment is required to confirm a booking. The online booking is a request, not a purchase.

10. Breakdown and Assistance

In case of a mechanical breakdown not attributable to the renter, Louizi Car Rentals commits to providing a replacement vehicle as soon as possible or organising roadside assistance. Contact us immediately at +212 6 51 51 51 68 (call or WhatsApp, available 7 days a week).

11. Applicable Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by Moroccan law. In case of dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable solution. Failing this, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Essaouira.
